Graham Cracker Crust

Combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar. In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar. Use your fingers or a spatula to mix the brown sugar into the crumbs.

Add butter. Stir in the melted butter, mix until fully combined. The mixture should be wet and sandy.

Add mixture to pan. Press the crust evenly into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan or springform pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to pack the crust down.

Chill. Place the pie crust in the fridge while you prepare the filling.

Filling

Mix kool aid and milk. In a mixing bowl add the sweetened condensed milk and powdered kool-aid packet, beat with an electric mixer until combined.

Mix in cool whip. Add in the cool whip, beat on low speed until combined.

Add filling to pie crust. Spread the filling over the pie crust. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Add whipped topping. If desired, decorate the pie with whipped cream and fruit before serving.

Tips for the Best Kool Aid Pie

  • Make it less sweet or fruity. The creamy filling of this pie is sweet and has a very fruity flavor. If you want to reduce either of those things, cut back half of the kool-aid mixture or half of the sweetened condensed milk.
  • Chill overnight. If you have time to make it ahead of time, you can chill it overnight so it’s ready to go the next day whenever you’re ready!

Substitutions & Variations

  • Use a store-bought crust. Pre-made graham cracker pie crust will be just as tasty!
  • Add toppings. Add fresh fruit, candies, or sprinkles on top of the pie
  • Choose Your Kool-Aid Flavor. Use the flavor of your choice. I used pink lemonade, which gives the pie a pretty pink color, but fruit punch, blue raspberry lemonade, strawberry kool-aid, cherry kool-aid pie, or orange kool-aid pie would be great too!

Storing and freezing suggestions
