FAQs
Store in an airtight container on the counter or in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. The glaze will set up, but you can microwave it in 20-second intervals until melted.
It’s important to cool donuts to room temperature before glazing them. Place donuts on a wire rack and allow them to cool completely before glazing so the glaze can set instead of melting.
If you want to thicken your chocolate glaze you can add powdered sugar to thicken it up. Just be careful as it will also sweeten the icing more.
Ganache is thicker than glaze, sets quickly, and thickens as it dries. Ganache uses heavy cream and chocolate, while our glaze uses butter and corn syrup. Glaze sets but does not fully harden because of its low sugar content.
