This is such a fun and healthy Thanksgiving appetizer – make a turkey shaped fruit platter!
Use a pear for the body, baby carrots for the beak, wings, legs then add red and green grapes, pistachios, banana chips, and chocolate covered raisins. Plus there are so many other fruit and nut options listed!
What You’ll Need
- Serving tray or platter (I round a large white round platter)
- half of a pear
- 2 baby carrots
- candy eye balls
- pistachios
- red grapes
- green grapes
- banana chips
- chocolate covered raisins

How to make a turkey thanksgiving fruit platter
Cut the pear in half and place in the center of a platter.
Cut out the beak, wings, and legs from baby carrots using a sharp knife.
Add the beak and wings to the pear using toothpicks. Place the turkey carrot legs at the bottom of the pear.
Use a dab of honey to secure the candy eye balls to the pear.
Arrange the pistachios around the pear.
Arrange red grapes.
Arrange green grapes.
Arrange banana chips.
Arrange red grapes.
Arrange chocolate covered raisins.
Arrange green grapes.
Fill in the rows with extra fruit / snacks so it looks fuller. Serve!
Make a veggie platter
Turn this into a turkey veggie platter by using cucumber slices for the body. Use cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, sliced carrots, broccoli, cauliflower for the feathers.
This is the perfect appetizer to munch on before Thanksgiving dinner!

Ingredients
