Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Muffins
Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Muffins – This post wins the award for the longest title ever! I know I say this about almost everything, but these are my new favorite muffins, hands down.

I love peanut butter
I love bananas
I LOVE chocolate chips
I love oatmeal

It’s just meant to be.

Actually, these are mini muffins. Whenever I am faced with the choice between the regular sized muffin pan or the mini sized pan, I always pick the mini pan. Would do you like best?

Also, I hardly ever use muffin liners. Are those a thing of the past or am I the only one who doesn’t use them?

With fall right around the corner, I’ve been eyeing some projects I want to try: cheesecloth floating ghosts, homemade caramel apples, a ruffled felt wreath, and cinnamon stick or twig wrapped candles.

And I’ve already been churning out the pumpkin baked goods, so stock up on canned pumpkin because I’ll be sharing those soon!

You could easily swap out the chocolate chips for peanut butter chips, dark chocolate chips, or wait for it.. even mini reese’s pieces.

I used mini chocolate chips for my mini muffins and if Ryan were writing he would say it’s because I love everything super tiny, just like me because I am only 5’2″

Either way you make these, they are going to be delicious.

  1. I really like how the toppings (is that what I should call them?) of your muffins turned out. They look like they are overflowing with goodness! I have yet to try oat in my muffins and you have just convinced me that the combination sound good! I do have some bananas and chocolate chips sitting on the counter, guess I will give these muffins a shot! Wish me luck! :)

  2. So glad I found this recipe! I have two mushy bananas on my counter ready to be made into muffins! I’m going to take a risk and sub out the butter for coconut oil. Fingers crossed they come out just as good as yours look. Thanks so much for sharing. :)

    1. Reporting back! They turned out on the dry side using coconut oil. Might give one more go using half coconut, and half applesauce, but like they say, butter is always better. Maybe this one is not meant to be messed with. : )

    2. Ah bummer to hear they didn’t work with coconut oil. I hope you were able to salvage them for some purpose!

  3. I cannot wait to make these for my parrots (leaving the chocolate chips out) for a change of their regular muffins (birdy bread) I make for them. I will add some choc chips to some for me. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

  4. I need a couple of my bananas to ripen asap so that I can make these! ;) They look amazing.
Thank you for sharing at Marvelous Mondays this week. Pinned & sharing!

  5. Hi this recipe looks yummy. Dying to try it. I noticed on your homepage that you mention you have a gluten allergy. Do you use gluten free flour with these? I’d love to try making these gluten free.

    1. Yep I used gluten free flour. It’s a local brand that I use, but most gluten free flours can be used as a 1 for 1 substitute, so 1 cup all purpose = 1 cup gluten free.

  6. My daughter just found out after five years she has grown out of her peanut allergy, but we have also discovered she does not like peanuts or peanut butter, but she loves chocolate /banana mini muffins. Been looking for a way to sneak the PB which she has to have now, this looks perfect! Thanks for sharing.
