This eyeball punch is my go-to red punch recipe, dressed up with edible lychee-blueberry eyeballs that float and sink for a creepy effect. It’s delicious, nearly foolproof, and easy for any home baker or party host to make.
Insert one blueberry into the cavity of each lychee to resemble an eyeball.
Fresh or frozen blueberries
Mix the Punch
In a large punch bowl or drink dispenser, combine the fruit punch, cran-raspberry juice, and orange pineapple juice, and ginger ale. Stir to mix.
64 oz cran-raspberry juice, 64 oz fruit punch, 32 oz orange pineapple juice, 1.25 liters ginger ale, Ice
Drop the lychee-blueberry eyeballs into the punch. Some will float and some will sink.
Notes
Where to find canned lychee: Canned lychee is often stocked in the international aisle of larger grocery stores (look near Asian ingredients), or at Asian supermarkets. Many mainstream stores like Walmart, Kroger, or Whole Foods also carry them, usually in cans or jars packed in syrup. You can also find them online through Amazon or specialty retailers. To Store: Best fresh. Refrigerate leftovers up to 1 day, but the soda will be flat. To Make Ahead: Do not fully mix ahead. Chill juices and make the “eyeballs,” but add ginger ale right before serving to keep the fizz.Alcoholic option: For adults, add vodka or white rum to the juice base before the ginger ale. Offer a non-alcoholic bowl separately.Dry ice safety: Use food-grade dry ice only. Handle with gloves or tongs. Do not swallow pieces; wait until fully dissolved before serving kids.
