HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CAKE

This homemade chocolate cake has melted chocolate in the batter and makes the best chocolate layer cake. Frost this moist chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting that’s creamy and fluffy!

Flour | Cocoa Powder Salt | Chocolate Baking Bar Baking Soda | Baking Powder Butter | Sugar | Eggs | Water Buttermilk | Heavy Cream Vanilla Extract

INGREDIENTS

Preheat the oven to 350º Rough chop the bittersweet chocolate baking bar into smaller pieces, MELT Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder & salt Beat the butter & sugar. Add in eggs and cooled chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

Add in half of the buttermilk, beat for about 20 seconds. Add in half of the dry ingredients, beat. Add the remaining buttermilk plus the hot water

Evenly divide the batter into the 2 pans

Bake both pans on the same rack in the center of the oven for 33-37 min

Allow the cakes to cool for 20-30 min

In a mixing bowl, beat the butter on high for 3 min Sift in the cocoa powder and 3 cups of powdered sugar. Beat until thick  Mix in heavy cream, vanilla extract & salt Add in the additional powdered sugar Layer cakes and frosting to assemble the finished piece
